Sharing common thoughts for a sustainable and safe future

The EHSS EMEA Conference 2026, organized by Amphenol, took place in Berlin from June 16th to 17th, bringing together environmental, health, safety, sustainability and compliance professionals from the EMEA region.

The conference was organized by the Amphenol EHSS EMEA team, led by Mick Albayati (EHSS EMEA Manager) and Sami Mavrothalassitis (EHSS EMEA Manager), and featured key corporate experts in the field, including Julie Hoben (VP of EHSS), Scott Ressler (Corporate Sustainability Director) and Csaba Seres (Forensic & Compliance Manager – EMEA Amphenol).

The primary goal of the conference was to provide a platform for Amphenol EMEA professionals to:

  • share experiences
  • present best practices
  • share understanding of current and future challenges
  • and align company-wide priorities

The conference focused on the following key areas:

  • RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) expectations and audits
  • risk management and compliance
  • PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) EU regulations
  • REACH, RoHS
  • Conflict minerals
  • supply chain sustainability
  • decarbonization and sustainability goals (SDGs)
  • CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) reporting obligations
  • the role and regulation of artificial intelligence at Amphenol

Knowledge sharing and collaboration among Amphenol companies

One of the most important values of the conference was the real, two-way and multi-directional professional collaboration between the participating Amphenol companies.

In some areas – especially in relation to AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) and related supply chain security processes, supplier compliance, and some of ASIP’s sustainability achievements – ASIP is at the forefront with its achievements so far. In these topics, we had the opportunity to share our practical experiences and proven solutions with Amphenol companies that are still building or developing their systems and processes in these areas.

At the same time, areas can also be identified where other Amphenol companies have greater experience or more advanced approaches. In these cases, ASIP has the opportunity to adopt and incorporate their best practices, or receive support for further development.

This mutual exchange of experiences reflects the true purpose of the conference, to help each other, develop together, and build on each other’s experiences to strengthen our operations throughout the region.

The conference was not only highly inspiring and high-quality from a professional perspective, but also provided an excellent opportunity to network with other Amphenol companies in the region.

The direct exchange of experiences, interactive workshops, and the insight that Amphenol Corporation’s leading experts provided into future trends and expectations were particularly valuable. The atmosphere of the event and the commitment of the participants clearly reflected Amphenol’s strong collaborative culture.

The conference created several tangible values for all participants:

  • Up-to-date knowledge on new and upcoming regulations (CSRD, AI Act, PFAS)
  • Practical guidance for preparing for RBA audits
  • Development opportunities to increase supply chain sustainability
  • Concrete tools to strengthen risk management and compliance
  • Adoption and adaptation of best practices from other business units
  • New professional relationships and collaboration opportunities

It can be said that the EHSS EMEA Conference 2026 was a highly successful and inspiring event that strengthened the Amphenol community and showed a clear direction for the future.

The meeting in Berlin not only provided new knowledge, but also created an opportunity to actively contribute to common development, while also drawing valuable inspiration from the experiences of other business units.

The knowledge gained here and the shared experiences can be put to practical use in the future.
